Mexican Beef Chili

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon vegetable oil           900g beef, cut into 3-4cm cubes

1 onion, sliced                             1 table spoon chipotle paste

3 garlic cloves, crushed               3 slices of ginger, grated

1 teaspoon ground cumin            1/3 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon plain flour                  300ml beef stock

1 tomato, chopped                        ½ teaspoon dried oregano

1 can pinto or kidney beans, drained

Directions:

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of oil then add beef and onion to Ropot. Press the “Function” key to select “Stir-fry”. Press the “+” key to add an extra 3 minutes. Once the program is completed, pour out the beef then set aside.
  2. Add 1 table spoon of oil and then add chipotle paste, garlic, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, flour, oregano and tomatoes then press the “Function” key to select “Stir-fry”.
  3. Add pre-cooked beef and then press the “Function” key to select “Stew”. Press the “+” key to add an extra 10 minutes. Once the program is completed, add the beans, press the “Function” key again to select “Stew”. Press the “-” key to reduce 10 minutes.
